GTA SA didn't work on Windows 8.1
#1

Hello, unfortunately by the upgrade or to switch from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1, the error continues to appear "grand theft auto sa stay connected at least directx version 9.0" and I've tried just about everything, unable to find the solution ... does anyone know how I can fix? Or remedy this problem?

You need to request Rockstar company to update the gta sa to the newest windows version
because gta sa isnt supported on the windows 8.1

In theory GTA:SA hasn't been supported since XP. However, a lot of users still play GTA:SA I myself have GTA:SA on Windows 8.1 pro and a windows server 2012 r2 just for the fun of it. So this is completely not true.

Same thing happened to me and the game runs now, I just can't see any health/armor bars on other players.

Whenever there is a health-bar/armor bar issue it directs to Direct-X issue. You'll need to get the redistributed version of DirectX 9+. Provide me your graphics card maker and I could help you get the correct required file.
