What version of Windows.. Please give us more info on what you're running.
He never stated he bought it for gaming.
Defragmenting might increase the speed of loading objects. Other tips are: disable anti-aliasing (uses a lot but doesn't make THAT much difference), decrease object details & decrease draw distance.

Set the theme to default core and then close all running applications and minimize the CPU usage !
that's all what u can do :/ according to your PC

Laptops are plenty fine for gaming if you choose the right one.
I play Planetside 2 on my laptop all the time. Feel free to look up the specs for that game haha
You NEED more memory, especially since that video chipset shares system memory. Its lagging because Windows is relying on your disk (pagefile/swap) a lot for loading/unloading textures. Drop 4GB in there, don't try and run a full HD resolution, turn quality down to medium and use 16-bit textures. You'll be good at that point I think.
