We have been trying the last 2 days to get MySQL R5/R6 plugin by BlueG to work on a Debian 7 VPS. We have full root access the VPS etc.

First of all we had a problem with the plugin from loading, it kept requesting

Failed (libmysqlclient_r.so.15: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)

We tried other versions downloads of the plugin and the server booted, if the MySQL info is incorrect, then the server doesn't crash, however we put the correct MySQL info and the server crashes on boot.

I can see from this crash log that its most likely the MySQL plugin crashing it.

Does anyone know a working R6 version of BlueG MySQL plugin which works on Debian 7?

We already did that, that isn't our problem either. Our problem is mysql on debian 7..
MySQL server itself works fine.
