Earlier today, a metorite hit a city in Russia. This is a little scary.

Does this meteorite have any connection to Asteroid 2012DA14?
Thought NASA confirmed that Asteroid 2012DA14 would have made no impact/traces as it passes by the Earth?

I might be wrong, but it could be parts of the asteroid, but I just looked at the NASA eye program, and its countdown is about nine hours, so I guess it would be too early? Don't know though.

then i saw Russia's explosion at (http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/20...s-live-updates)

It is a bit scary TBH, true NASA confirms that the "2012DA14" won't have any danger but everything can happen.

Anyways regarding Russia's explosion, i read on Guardian.co.uk that there are 400 injured people and 102 people called for emergency after the impact, so no dead people right ?

It didn't hit the ground, but exploded in mid-air.

The footage is awesome and a bit scary at the same time. The force of the explosion shattered glass literally everywhere so must have been a mighty one.
