Do you use that Stream Memory Fix ASI? It shouldn't be needed in 0.3x.

I actually use it to get my large custom.img working (at least it worked awful without streamfix in 0.3e - didn't test it without streamfix in 0.3x yet) . Is it included in 0.3x now or why don't you think it is needed?

If you got Streamer Fix ASI installed try to remove it and then say what results do you have. Are they different or the same with your 'huge' custom.img. If the results are the same.. that means then Kalcor plugged/made something similar.

I saw in F5 the max stream memory is increased to 256MB so doesn't need stream memory fix.
