Genuine reason is that I finish sixth form soon-ish and I've been told to go course hunting for my university. I literally have no clue on what to do, and I'm stuck as fuck. I've studied Maths, Computer Science, IT and Business at A-Level but not sure what to do next so I'm wondering who, of the people doing courses, would recommend their own and some info about their course?

IT here is a piece of cake if youre an usual computer geek. Some theory, lots of programming, but after all nothing thats actually hard to understand.

Cant tell much about business, but that its way overrated and kind of the "emergency study" here. Basic math, basic economy theory, basic laws, and thats all. Definitely not my interest.

I'm actually probably going to do accounting because I'm still not sure what I want to do and I actually enjoyed accounting quite a bit in high school. If I decide to do something later on then I probably will.

I'm contemplating going for an Apprenticeship scheme after Sixth. Generalized reason being that the thought of being Ј40,000+ in debt as soon as I finish is just horrible. I've spoke to a few of my teachers and they seem to think Apprenticeship schemes will be good, as companies look for experience more than knowledge and people that have experience in apprenticeships may have an easier potential at getting a job.

That was my thinking too. To be honest it's my fallback plan. I still wish to pursue a life in video game development, which I've done on my own time.
Accounting just feels like there will always be employment, versus being a "starving artist" of the twenty first century.

For a start, you're not in debt like a normal debt.

So, if you decide to go to uni and end up in 30-40 grand student debt. The debt doesn't go towards blacklisting on credit cards / doesn't go towards your credit rating.

Plus you don't start paying the debt away straight away until you are earning over 35 thousand I think.
What person earns over that when you're a student? Anyway even if you do earn that much you're paying almost pennies a week, I heard around 20 a week. 100 a month.

Even if you don't earn the over the 35k after or when you're 50 the debt gets wiped off and you're student debt free. So it's not all doom and gloom with student uni fees.

You're only paid Ј2.50 for the first year, then you go up to minimum wage. That's around Ј1000 per year, which goes up with age and also it'll be a foundation to start work?
