Is a faction basically a team?
In ways of coding i mean..

Could i implement a faction in my server by scripting it as i would normally for a team?
Example:

Make a faction variable to store the factions..
Then define the factions and so on

Only problem i think i have is how would i make a rank system for factions ?

Or could anyone direct me to a faction tutorial, I've searched but only found one witht mySQL and i have no idea how to use it.

go to gamemode >> look for a roleplay gamemode >> and look how they did it :O
