As far as I understand, you overclocked your GPU and it broke?

Overclocked it so much it bunt off the number. Now it sees spots and flickers constantly?

The answer is clearly buy a new graphics card and try not to overclock the next one to breaking point.

This.

My friend fried his MOBO by overclocking it (for example from 2.0 to 2.5GHz), Don't overclock shit. It's just useless.

You only get about .3 more anyway, What's the point? Then it costs you 500 bucks (if not 1000) to get a GPU & Card.

Answer:

Time for a new graphic card.

hows the cooling of your pc?
are there any fans mounted in the case?
is your PSU strong enough to supply the voltage used by 2x4GB DDR3, a 4Core CPU, 1 or more harddisks, and indeed by the powerhungry GPU?
if any chip heats up, then it needs a HIGHER voltage to maintain the same clockspeed. double the heat != 4*more power consumption (yes, i used the != so you cannot bitch about it, we ALL know thats not the correct formula blabla)...
if you cannot touch the active/passive mounted CPU cooler (the metal part close to the core), then obviously your pc suffers on heating up.

long story short:
disassemble your whole beast, then CLEAN IT, blow away dust/hairs (used in clothes, hairs usually keep you warm? same happens in a pc btw), reassemble it, and pray that you didnt break any parts of it.
be careful: touch any grounded/earthed metal parts in the house, before you grab the screwdriver, you might want to get rid of statical power, which can (and will if you dont do so) destroy any sensible eletrical devices.

erm. why i tell you that shit we all <3 to ignore when (not) reading the manuals? maybe coz i have done that procedure countless times already, and saved myself some trouble.

incase you hesitate to do all that, ask a friend who is common to that stuff, he'll like to help. if not, something is wrong in the world lol

Actually, Try to re-download your drivers:

Try these:

the 280.19 driver

OR

the 275.33 driver

Please try them. Should be OK.

You say your card is new, only a month old. That means dust isn't the problem, a new fan will take care of the biggest Carbole (a ball of dust).

If not, Clean your whole case, included the inner parts.

Bake it for 10 minutes, should work just fine.

Heh, Xbox

You "burnt the serial numbers off"? That's impressive... if true...

You fuck up your card enough that even the printed serial number burned off, and you still expect the support to help you with this? As soon as you overclock any card or cpu, all support and warranty is void, or in other words, you burnt your money.
You should still try to resore the normal clock (why do you still run it with higher clock when you already see the damage?) If youre damn lucky, it will work normal again, but i doubt it will.

Actually overclocking GPU's won't void your warranty on ALL cards atleast with EVGA.. with EVGA you can even put it under watercooling ( I mean you can open it.. ), and as long you keep the original cooler , don't damage the PCB and return the card with the stock cooler on it, it won't void warranty...

As Mauzen said try to restore the stock clock speeds, voltages... and then try to send it back if they ask for Serial Number you must have one on the BOX...

But oh well with PNY you should not have very good luck.. that's why I don't buy GPU's from a "cheap" brand.. I pay some more cash when buying GPU's from EVGA but most likely they will accept it.. I've read on evga forums that one guy just trashed all the stickers on his card Serial Numbers and whatever.. and by that you should void the warranty but still evga contacted him and asked to send it on the original box ( because it has a Serial Number on it ), without accessories... and they still accepted it and fixed the GPU for him..
