Help please

Hello. A week ago, I got a new pc. Windows Vista 7. I had some issues with SA-MP on my old pc, so I thought I'd try it out on my new one. I checked up a few tutorials, just to be sure on how to download SA-MP. I did as I was told on the tutorials. When I chose a server, at first nothing happened, my computer just made that 'loading' noise, but nothing popped up, and I asked some friends on how to fix that and they told me how and I fixed it. But now I have a new problem, when I choose a server, the screen goes white, and normal gta pops up.
FYI, I don't think the problem has anything to do with my PC, I'm just doing something wrong.
*Also I'm using the normal GTA disc, not the Steam version

Sincerely, SG

You must downgrade your San Andreas to 1.0 to run SA-MP.

Okay. I chose the D: File, and it said not enough disk space, and I cleaned my disk space, and yet it still says that..

As EngimaGC stated you need to downgrade GTA. The patch is available here >> http://files.sa-mp.com/gtasapatch.zip
