Laptop overheating
#1

Hey, my laptop works fine till I start to play minecraft, then it turns off after a random amount of time, like no warning or anything, just shuts down... Only happens when I start to play mc, but I think it's overheating. Any ideas on how to fix or what's wrong ?

PS: Already ******d, still didnt find a fix.

Your laptop most be pretty bad to shut off while playing minecraft o.o. If you think it's overheating, buy a cooling pad, or elevate the fan, giving it space, by like putting a textbook under it, don't cover the fan.

Put it in the fridge for a couple of minutes.

Mine used to do so, and my solution was pretty simple, take a cooler fan from a desktop computer and then connect it with an USB cable (Cut the wires and connect them to an USB port, only the ones that conduct electricity). Rise your laptop by few cm so the fan can get under, put the fan on something so it can take air and spread it, if you put it on a flat surface it does pretty much nothing but heat it up faster.

PS Put the fan under the CPU which if I'm not mistakening is on the left.
Simple. Get me?

My laptop used to close after few minutes of playing F.3.A.R.

Alright guys, I was just a little afraid of opening my laptop up to clean it, like it's my first laptop in my life, I only had desktops before, so I will open it, get the dust out without messing or breaking anything. And when I get a chance I will get a cooler fan. But keep posting if there are any other ideas, thanks.

Yeah, read my post and carefully start by not opening your laptop by yourself!

It's full of nano shits! I might break something or having problems re-assembling..

Putting a cooling pad or any sort of fan under it, will not help at all if it's full of dust. Just blow into the intake of the fan and it should come out of the outtake. It will be easier with a airduster, no need for taking things apart.
