Server not responding
#1

First of all, hello to you all and thanks in advance for reading this topic and your help.
I have a problem with my server.
I own a medium community ( about 60-80 players a day) and when I start my server, it works about 3-10 hours, sometimes more, sometimes less, after that period it just stops responding, when you try to join it, it just prints "Connecting to bla bla bla....
Joining the game... "
The server is hosted on my vps (ubuntu 11.04 server edition).
I am using gstylezz mysql plugin, sscanf and streamer plugin.
Could this be a scripting related issue or it is something else?

Btw all the players that are ingame when the freezing starts can't chat or do anything.

I don't believe it's a script related issue since it works for over a hour anyways, I'd be afraid it's something in your VPS.

Have you tried looking in your server logs to see why it could be shutting off?

i thought about crashdetect plugin, but the server isn't crashing, it's just freezing, so it wouldn't help

I had the same problem, before, and i managed to fix it, something in your script is bugging, my server used to freeze with like 9 players, and it pings, but when you try to join you can't and the players that are showing aren't even inside, is that what its showing you ?

Some VPS's(some hosting companies.like serverffs for exemple also do this^^) providers can shut you down when using too much resources...but its strange since your player base its not that high to use a big ammount...
but there are other stuff that can be related with the resources usage...the Script, the usage of filterscripts...
