[REQUIREMENTS]Could Black Ops run on this computer?
#1

Hello,i opened this thread to ask you something.
I have this computer:

Processor AMD Athlon™ Dual-Core QL-65 2.10 GHz
RAM 2,00 GB
Windows 7 32 Bit Operating System
Video Card ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500 Series 512 Mb

Could COD 7 Black Ops run on this computer correctly?
I don't want to use the other one even if it is better:

RAM 4,00 GB
ATI Radeon 1 GB

So is there any chance to run it on the first computer?

That's a laptop you have there, the specs though seem a bit low for decent/optimal performance on Black Ops.
I think you can run it but only on low-med settings.

www.canyourunit.com
It's not 100% good, but it's good :P.
It said for me, that it worked about 75% (low-high speed), but I can run everything on max without laggs. I have a notebook.

Info
Dell Inspiron N5010

Processor: Intel Core i3 M370 [2.40 GHz (4 CPU's) ~2,4GHz]
Graphic card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650
Memory: 4096MB Ram

I don't recommend playing black ops on a dual core, black ops is EXTREMELY poor optimised for pc (another poor optimised console game D:< ),

you need atleast a quad core if you dont want to get annoyed by lag spikess.

I have 5770 1GB from Asus, Quad Core Athlon II X4 640 at 3Ghz, 4GB DDR3 1333Mzh ram. Windows 7, Ultimate.

All games run perfectly. CoD 4,5,6, Crysis 1,2, Gta San Andreas, Battlefield etc.

Gta IV and Black Ops are annoying as hell. BO stutters (like stops every once in a while) on every 0.2 seconds and it is impossible to play. I don't know what kind of a PC am I supposed to have because I ran Crysis 2 at max with no problems. I guess they're a bunch of lazy idiots..

Maybe ****** it and not ask people? System diagnostics is made for this and not to play guessing games.

Seriously... its good that he asks

The system requirements on games are really terrible these days, example:

Real Call of duty BO System requirements:
* OS: Windows® Vista / XP / 7
* Processor:Intel® Core™2 Duo E6600 or AMD Phenom™ X3 8750 or better
* Memory: 2GB
* HDD:12GB
* Video: Shader 3.0 or better 256MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8600GT / ATI Radeon® X1950Pro or better
* Sound: DirectX 9.0c-compatible
* DirectX: 9.0c

ACTUAL requirements to play lag(spike)free:
* OS: Windows® Vista / XP / 7
* AMD Phenom X3 or Intel quad core (4-core recommended!)
* Memory: 3gb
* HDD: 12gb
* Video: Shader 3.0 or better 256MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8800GT / ATI HD4850 or better
* Sound: DirectX 9.0c-compatible
* DirectX: 9.0c

They just keep the system requirements low to sell more copys of the game...
in fact you can find A LOT of second hand computergames on ebay now because of people that bought the game simply cant run it.

Its so bad to see that consoles are ruining the computer game industry, because all computergames are so poorly optimised these days.

How enthusiastic would you be porting a game to PC if you knew most people would torrent the game?
Just saying, i'm not saying i wouldn't like better optimized games :P
