Simple math
#1

Hi!
I forgot how to solve an equation, lol!
So there are some numbers and Xs and at the end I get:
-10x=-10x+6
-10x+10x=6
0x=6

How was it... x is equal to any number or x is equal to non-existing number (undef.)?
It seems that if I take any number then I get 0 and that means 0=6, kinda wrong, so it would be undef. as the answer.

if i remeber my math class right, x = 1.

i might have failed though.

This equation cant be solved, because in the last line it says
0=6. So x is not defined.

There would be no solution for this.

Possibly completely wrong here because I haven't done this since before 2007

-10x=-10x+6
-10x+10x = 6
(-10x+10x)/-10 = 6/-10
x+-1x = 6/-10
x-1x = 6/-10
(x-1x)+1 = -0.6 + 1
2x = 0.4
2x/2 = 0.4/2
x = 0.2

EDIT: well if the top one is the original equation then there would be no proper answer since no number could be the same as itself +6.

EDIT2:
quicker more accurate way.
-10x=-10x+6
-10x/-10 = -10x/-10 + 6
x = x + 6

As simple as 10x is not equal to 10x + 6.

EDIT :

Код:
-10x = -10x + 6
-10x + 10x = 6
It's null set or Impossible to solve. X cannot be 0.

0x = 6
It's impossible because there is no value of X that would result 6 if multiplied by 0.

There IS a solution for this...

If you do the equation the result is 0=6, it's called:

EMPTY SET (or null set, don't know exact English term)

This is the proper answer

Yes, it is indeed an empty set.

It may just be possible that you have re-arranged wrong somewhere before that point.
