SA:MP Translation?
#1

Hi everyone.
I just wanted to ask the SA:MP-Team for translating SA:MP to German, cause I am german .
So my suggestion was, (cause i think they won't give me the source code) that you maybe could add some files like "german.lng", "french.lng" etc, so that if one of these files exists the server includes the language variables out of them.

What i want to say, i want to translate SA:MP, so that those things like "Connected to ..." could also be translated for german servers, cause not everybody speaks english

I also thought of a translation for the client... but i dunno if they accept my suggestion (maybe the player then can choose a language at the beginning/configurations?)
Just want to help to globalize SA:MP, although IV:MP already exists.
So maybe there are some other people, like russians or italians, that could translate SA:MP to their languages.

Anyway, i hope i can help you with this suggestion.
greetz, cya.

No, how old are you? i know people in Germany are getting English lessons around their 12th.
Else, what's wrong with a language you can understand?

Nothing, but a translation would be great anyway.

I don't see a good point in this actually.
Instead of making this, they could improve SA:MP, by new/better functions and improved sync.
And for those who don't understand English, that's to bad. Maybe they should stop cutting english classes.
Or take them. English is one of the most spoken languages on earth

I'm also from Germany. And I know German peoples don't want English programs.
Starting on download sites with titles like "Some Program v1.2.3 in German" (Original: Irgendein Programm v1.2.3 in Deutsch). Some German computer magazines also value a program without German language with negative points.
You see: The language is one of the most important details.
I don't know if that is also one of the most important details for non-german users.

All my friends don't want anything in English... Everything has to be in German. And if it doesn't exist in a German version they mostly don't use it or searches alternative versions of it because they don't understand anything of it.

SAMP may gets more famous with a multilingual version. And maybe also the possibility to get the clients language in the game mode.
