when i connect to a server it shows the onplayconnect then just freezes my pc only way to get it back is to try to put pc in standby or restart help!

Do you have any mods installed? Usually crashes like this are problems with the gta_sa.exe.....If you don't, I'm not sure what your problem is, you'll probably have to reinstall.(Wait for other answers before reinstalling.)
