Server Not Responding
#1

Hello, I am on Windows Vista 32bit I have 8mb Internet and a Belkin F5D 8236-4. I have been having this problem when hosting a server for a while now. I have 7777 forwarded for my computer's IP and when I start the server it looks fine I can play. Then when I give the IP to my mate they can see it's there when they connect they just get server is not responding I was wondering if my internet settings are wrong or something that might be blocking it
Thanks Steve

Also when run in DMZ it works, however for some reason as soon as DMZ is cancelled it doesn't work.

Well, are you sure they are open? (port checker)

And did you Set the Server.CFG right? ((the announce to 1 and the lanmode to 0 I thought)

If no, change that
If yes, Then I don't know whats wrong.

*EDIT* My friends cannot see the server I think my router might be blocking it but I have no idea what settings are needed.

You sent the static IP address(192.168.0.something) or the IP from www.whatismyipaddress.com?

if you want OTHER people to the server then use the EXTERNAL IP (the one from www.whatismyipaddress.com)

Dont use the ones starting with:

- 192.168
- 127.0

My Router firewall is off, it seems like it is still blocking it.
