EVERLASTING ISSUE: SP INSTEAD OF MP
#1

hi, I wanted to try out how SA:MP works on home network so I downloaded server program, started up a server, downloaded client to both of my computers (the first one with Vista, the second one with XP) On Vista it works properly, I click connect to my home IP and multiplayer loads without any trouble however on Windows XP the SA:MP runs Single Player instead of Multiplayer.
I've been through many topics here saying that I should downgrade my SA game so I downloaded the patch and it said there is nothing to downgrade...
I've tried using the exact same folder of SA with SA:MP installed in it on both computers and same result (Vista works fine, XP doesn't)
I've already checked a lot of settings and everything seems to be fine, SA directory is set correctly in SA:MP so I'm kind of out of options..

Can anyone give me some tip or somthing to make it work please?
appreciate that thx

are both installs the same?

There's your answer. Buy the game.

all right I got that, but why it does work on one machine and doesn't on another? I'd understand if none of them worked, but this is weird, and saying 'it's cracked that's the deal' withou knowing or looking for the solution, that is pretty easy to say...

Re-install GTA SA, and SA-MP. If you do not have GTA SA and a torrent version. Go buy the game. Simple as that. Problem solved. It's a bug that happens when you install too many mods or something else... You'll still need to buy the game. I had the same problem un-installed the mods but still didn't work.

all right, thank you, I'll keep trying, it doesn't matter much anyway, I was just hoping to make it work, if it doesn't it's not a big deal
