Hi,

Every now and then I read the server adverts, and some of them are decent. But every now and then you get a crappy one.

If you want people to join your server, then you could at least make a decent advert, with correct spelling and grammar. Some people even tell you to go to their server in their advert.

For Example:

"...Come join our server NOW..." "...you do not want to miss out..."

Personally, that makes me NOT want to join, it shows that the poster of the advert is bossy. They are literally telling you to join, as if you don't have a choice. Not only that, but it's saying that you do not want to miss what's happening in the server. Well, what if everyone in the server are grumps, or abusive police(in a RP situation), or the admins suck.

I'd rather join a server with nice, collective people, rather than a bunch of snobby, bossy admins that force you to do stuff without explanation.

I think this would be better in a server advert:

"...please consider joining our server..." "...it could be something worthwhile..."

That shows honesty, and respect towards the players. Your asking the players, not telling them, therefore they will fill less likely to rebel. On top of that, the "could" part shows that the owner/admins aren't completely self centered, and can recognize that there may be better servers out there, but they provide a calm, welcoming environment to play in.

speaking of bossy admins, ive actually banned around 4 of em for telling ME what to do in MY Server

I really dispise the server advertisements that include these sentences:

"This is the best server in the world"
"The best server you will play on"

And also i saw some server ads which just say: "come join now. IP".

By reading those, i just want to get the hell out of there, lol.

I remember one day in a RP server (i wont say the name, but it is a huge comunity) i was driving around and then suddently an admin says to someone on OOC: Go there and do that.
Guy: Why?
Admin on AOOC: BECAUSE I SAY SO

I was tottally SHOCKED with that attitude that i didnt put my feet on that server from that day on.

Another thing I don't like is when people try to express their anger or shouting by writing in all capital letters. For me, it seems to make the text harder to read, therefore it could cause the reader to get angry. When someone uses all caps, I tend to ignore it, but one or two words capitalized for effect is fine.

ANOTHER THING I DON'T LIKE IS WHEN PEOPLE TRY TO EXPRESS ANGER OR SHOUTING BY WRITING IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS. FOR ME, IT SEEMS TO MAKE THE TEXT HARDER TO READ, THEREFORE IT COULD CAUSE THE READER TO GET ANGRY. WHEN SOMEONE USES ALL CAPS, I TEND TO IGNORE IT, BUT ONE OR TWO WORDS CAPITALIZED FOR EFFECT IS FINE.

See? The first one seems easier to read.

What I really hate is when there are some people which PM me ingame:


"YOU DONT NEVER BAN ME OR?"

I reply and ask what he means, he just asks the same message and I need to figure out what he means...
Or do you know what he means by that?

What he meand was "You'll never ban me, right?"


I know, my english is also not as good as some elses english but when I read such a sentence I get kinda angry and annoyed.

Anyways, it takes quite alot to piss me off, but the most annoying thing to me is when you put "Don't PM me" in your signature, but people still do it.

I remember another thing that made me angry...

... I was in a RP server, there wasn't many people online, mainly admins and about 5 others. I decided to go to LV for a cruise. When I got there, I was frozen, and a admin TP'd to me, and started spazzing, saying that it was a LS based server, so I could not got to LV. I was like "wtf", and we argued for a few mins.

So then he teleports me back to LS, without my car, so I report that I wanted my car back and get nothing. After that, I was like "he said don't go to LV, so I'll go to SF!"

When I got in SF, I ramped out of the tunnel near the airport and failed massively into the water. I had to swim back to shore, but I couldn't because half way back to shore I was banned!

Banned for going to SF... wtf. If you wanted to only have LS, set the world boundaries or something, lol.
