SAMP Crashing
#1

Hello everybody. I'm just a new guy here that has a problem and wants some help.
First of all, my singleplayer GTA:SA works normally, with or without mods. Now, my SAMP opens normally (I disable mods before playing). It shows the loading bar, the SAMP title and the little logos perfectly. Now, when the loading bar reaches 100%, instead of showing the Santa Maria Beach I get an error message, which says:

Game Version: US 1.0"

Before this SAMP was working normally, but with some frequent crashes due to the game trying to load modifications on cars whose textures I've changed, but that's not my problem. I know the problem is my PC because I have another GTA:SA on my pendrive which ONLY has SAMP installed, and it refuses to load the beach too, but on other PCs it works perfectly. I tried swapping the files in the "Saved" folder and the User Files too (I have a backup of others) and it won't respond either. I started getting this problem after installing some games, which are completely different to GTA, so I guess they modified the Registry or something else and it causes my SAMP to not work. I don't know what else to do and I seriously want to play SAMP again.
Thanks for your help and answers everybody.

Save your gta3img backup (or wherever you stored the mods).
Completely delete gtasa which means uninstall with all features removed (registry too).
Then, reboot, reinstall gtasa, reboot (by choice), put your backup into gta sa.
Install SA-MP.
Run and tell me if you still get problems

The thing is I don't have a GTA: SA installer, I would simply copy the one in my pendrive to where it was installed їWould that still work?
And by "one" I mean the whole GTA, not the installer.

You need to reinstall it properly as per the troubleshooting section on the wiki. Uninstall both GTA and SA-MP via the uninstall functions as best you can.

If you've got a pirated version, then that isn't really supported. There's a reason the installer does what it does, and it installs other things, and sets settings when it gets installed.

The installation you should remove, delete the settings entirely, delete the folder the game was in, and reinstall via the installer to a new folder entirely.

Then post back what comes up from there. Seriously though, the downloaded 'copy across' installs, aren't the best way to do it, the installer is a good thing to use.

But I just said I don't have any installer anywhere, at least on my PC and my pendrive.
What am I supposed to do now?

Buy the game then as you should already have done.

Welp, I'm screwed then.
This makes me question myself how do GTA and SAMP work on a computer that doesn't have anything but an "User Files" file created by only executing the game... weird.

Probably some CLEO file making it crash.. or some corrupted file. Re-install is the only thing to solve. Although, if you SP works, there is more probably of a bad CLEO file.

Or DLLs sitting in the game folder, which were fine before, and aren't now as they are flagged by windows defender, or that this machine hasn't had the various settings changed for DEP or anything related disabled.

Seriously though OP, What are you on about with "how do GTA and SAMP work on a computer that doesn't have anything but an "User Files" file created by only executing the game... weird."?

I actually use a copied version of my installation, it's just clean and trusted (I have 3 physical copies of the game)... If you're downloading a shitty copy (Because there are many out there) then that's on you... You should buy the game, as then at least you can install a CLEAN version, which ONLY has what you installed.

Hell, so many of those downloads have mods already installed, and you running it, is risky AF... Anything in there, dll, or exe, can cause you to be infected... It's not worth the risk.

Do it properly.
