When I start it up, I can't see any servers in Internet or Official. I tried 0.2X u1, 0.2X, and even 0.2.2. It is allowed through my firewall, and when I looked up servers and manually connected with an IP, it would start up find, but couldn't connect to the server.
Oh, and when I add a server to favorites, I can see the ping, but everything else says retrieving info.

It sounds like a firewall/router issue. Software or hardware I can't tell.

I live in the dorms on campus. I can play most games online, such as Steam games, Civ 4, and Quake 3, but can't play older games like Age of Empires II online. Could it be something with their internet messing with it?

I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to networks.

Sure, bypass their network and get kicked out of uni/college, pretty smart. But, no it's unlikely you will be able to play SA:MP.
