I don't see any reason of using it... the design is too stretched and you should do something like the real GTA IV... Make the dark stars and make grey stars on them and display them, or at-least, give us some thing new or customizable to use.

These are horrible. Not the system, the textdraws. You still need to figure out how to use them.

I once made custom wanted level stars that went around the HUD map.
