64-Bit Server
#1

Hi everyone!
I am building my own server and I want to know one thing. Why there is no native x86_64 (64-Bit) server? 64-Bit is faster than 32Bit (x86) more than 13%. And 32Bit applications (even on 64Bit OS) can not allocate more, than 3.15 GiB of RAM. My machine has 32GiB! We all need 64Bit servers! 32Bit architecture must die. Kye, we do not need sources, just provide a native 64 Bit server for Windows and Linux, please!
Even Multi Theft Auto has native 64-bit server for Windows and Linux.
Or, I am so stupid that I did't find alpha or beta 64bit components?
Thanks in advance for your replies!

...why would a server need more than 3 gigs of ram exactly?

Because 1000p server could use more. Evenmore, some plugins, like MapAndreas use 70MiB on a server start, more players = more RAM. Python plugin while my tests used more than 300MiB. We also would be able to use 64bit python (NOT 32bit, which is used now). More RAM, more performance, more stability. Native x64-bit code on 64bit systems run much better than x86 on x64 through WoW64 (Yes, I use win serv)
Or, If one day, I hope, we could run more than 1000p server - in that case x64 is a must.

The server process will never use so much ram whatsoever..

Okay, so what you can say about stability? Python while testing used 300MiB. 32Bit Python. We could use 64-Bit python (For example, my site will use 64Bit Python 2.7.11)

That's with Python, i doubt it's the same with a sa-mp server. Even 300 MiB is not that much for a 'server' and can easily be handled on a 32-bit system and/or software.

My main Idea is performance and stability. RAM - maybe it's not the problem. If the server can support x64 plugins, than, we could use x64 python, for exemple. 13% performance improvement.
And it is not such a big problem for Kye to compile just TEST version of server. People can re-compile plugins for x64 themselves.

I hope a lot of people would agree with me
