So, as you can see from the title, i'm running a VPS ubuntu 16.04, I've just finished installing LAMP, APACHE,MYSQL, PHP and so on.

I've installed the server reading the guide found here - https://sampwiki.blast.hk/wiki/Linux_Server several times just to make sure.

But for some reason when I start the server it just doesn't show on the favourites list when I add it.

Server starts fine like it has when I've had vps's in the past but, I don't know why this is not working.



Any suggestions on which settings to tweak?

First mistake is right in front of you, turn off lanmode.

Already noticed it haha, removed it restarted, still the same issue.

Is your 7778 port open/forwarded correctly?

For what ever reason even though I had it enabled it kept re-blocking the port 7777, 7778, 7779, but I've fixed it now, it works, thanks for the help everyone all are + rep'd
