...who set up PayPal subscriptions (when we politely asked people not to):

A few customers are still sending me a couple of dollars per month, because they haven't turned off the PayPal subscription they set up.

I cannot stop these payments, because they were set up manually within the individuals PayPal account.

I was refunding these as they came in. I no longer have the patience for that, so I'm no longer refunding erroneous payments.

If you were a SmartBytes customer and paying via PayPal...go into your PayPal account and shut off any subscriptions to "SmartBytes Hosting". Do this ASAP, or you will be sending me free money.

Emails have gone out, and were ignored or not received. This serves as a public notice that future automated payments will no longer be monitored or refunded.

And this is very much a "cover my ass post", since I have no intention of babysitting random $1 payments, weeding them out of other payments, and spending the time to refund with another note asking them to shut off the subscription. My initial post is the final step in absolving myself of responsibility for someone elses error(s)
