the game freezes while i am playing the game on windows 10 no crash report and windows 10 freezes so i have to hit the reset button every time this problem occurs.

things i have attempted to fix the problem
reinstall windows 10 (clean install not upgrade unlike last time) including wiping my ssd
change compatibility settings to windows 7 and running the game as admin
reinstall the GTA SA and SAMP
clear gta sa user files (including gta_sa.set)
no cleo mods or anything of the sort completely stock game version 1.0
reinstall drivers

reverted back to windows 7 and still this issue. this has occurred since i took the decision to upgrade to windows 10. I know you guys have a number of threads with the compatibility issues on windows 10 so I hope a new version of SAMP comes long with windows 10 support.

I also had a startup crash in which i fixed with settings compatibility mode to windows ME but introduced another problem of my computer freezing while playing the game unable to access windows task manager. when i alt tab or press Ctrl + Alt + Del i get a black screen so i have to press the reset button on my computer case. all i hear is the game sounds in a loop

As you can see i have provided information and attempted to fix the problem but failed. Posting on SAMP forums is Always a last resort so sorry if i made ur life a burden or pissed u off.

Try to change compatibility settings of both gta_sa.exe and samp.exe to Windows ME, and run them both as administrator.

By the way, if your Windows 10 crashes due to a crashed gta_sa.exe, do this:
Press Win+R.
Type "cmd" without the quotes and press ENTER.
Type "taskkill /IM gta_sa.exe /F" without the quotes and press ENTER.
gta_sa will be forced to shutdown (just like killing the process in the task manager).

Works fine for most.

Weather you're playing a game that's a day old, or 30 years old, that's time you aren't getting back or really gaining anything from, so it doesn't really matter.
