Questions about hosting a server!
#1

I am thinking of using pingperfect for hosting my server, it's only 2.50GBP for 25 slots so why not.

Anyhow, my question is:

What do I use to access the rcon for the server?
Any programs I need?

I'm thinking of how to upload the script onto the server and such, oh and how will I get the IP?

Thank you.

You will have alot to learn before starting a server.

The IP should either be in the control panel your hoster provided, or included in the billing(email, etc.) as well as the FTP details. To upload the script, you need to use a FTP client and connect to the details which should be provided after your order.

Call some of your friends who're familiar with this, someone who you trust if you don't have experience in hosting,

I use pingperfect, great hosts for SA:MP. They use the TCAdmin control panel, you have a file manager there aswell as FTP instructions. Your server IP is given on the control panel. As people above said, I would suggest getting someone involved or download the windows server.

Hello,

1) Most SAMP server hosts use TCAdmin which has a web console (best way to manage rcon)
2) HeidiSQL - MySQL (if your gamemode uses mysql)
FileZilla Client - FTP (allows you to upload files to your server easier)

At https://SimplyFrag.co.uk you can get 30 slots for Ј2.40 a month using promotional code "SF20PCT" and are easily contactable via Skype on: SimplyFragHosting.

Kind Regards
