Static IP Address

Hello there, i have Dynamic IP address, and i want it static for my server, how can i do that? can i change it from there? http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2lvz...5#.UobRgxDljIU or i have to call the ISP to make it static?

Best thing is to make your IP hostname
Its good and free..

Port forward will work on your IP Hostname
PM me your IP i will send you hostname then enjoy !!
But Hostname will work if you have router!!

Sign up to no-ip, there is no point in pointing a hostname to a dynamic IP if it's going to change. Don't let anyone else set it up, you need to be the one with the no-ip client on your computer.

Mate , I just signup to no-ip then i put my IP there and complete the process and then i get my IP hostname easily and my hostname is STATIC!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, but you need to install the no-ip client to keep your dynamic IP updated. Some routers also have this feature...

If you contact your ISP requesting a static ip address, they will[well, at portugal, they do this]
1) Set the static ip
2) Next internet invoice will have a extra charge, related to static ip allocation.

If you want to host your server, just simply buy a game server in a server hosting provider, or buy a vps / dedicated server, and configure it in your own.

Home networks are the worst thing to host servers on.
