somebody has attacked my server. the server was working, but players was crashed a few times. after i have banned one of suspect, then crashes have gone. how to protect the server?

You cant protect a server from any attack, It all depends on the level of attack. If its a bot attack, get an Anti flood plugin from the forums.

If its a Dos attack you will not be able to stop a Dos attack only reduce the effects, it all depends on what your hosting company has for you in options to work with

What you can do is get a powerful dedicated server which will survive the attacks, ofcourse it all depends of the size of the attack.
