Everytime I try to join a server, it loads to 100% correctly, but after it completes, all I get is a black screen resulting to me having to use the task manager.

Try to alt+tab to see if there's any error message shown.
Also, generally try to delete My Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files\gta_sa.set.

There's no error message.
I've also deleted gta_sa.set,
I've went into the properties and made it compatible with window XP service pack 3, but now I get an error message and crashes in about 80% of loading.
