If I run the SA MP client and close it, computer does go to sleep, but if i connect to a server and play ( then close GTA ), computer will never go to sleep and this does not happen with single player mode. Have to restart the computer to fix the sleep problem. I'm using XP, anyone else having this problem?

Edit: After updating my nvidia driver, I found my computer goes to sleep after playing

Edit2: Not sure exactly, later found it dint go to sleep

I'm also facing this, but I like to say AFK so that I can increase my Playing Hours :P

Try to unistall sa-mp and GTA SA and then install them again..

If that doesn't work, join a sever close samp and check task manager to see if there is any part of samp still running.
