Check a catalog for realistic prices. Most jobs can range from say $25,000-$1,000,000 per year, though it depends on where you're from. Don't make it too hard to buy/sell things.

Drugs and stuff are generally priced between $50-$200 in most servers per gram, depending on type. In reality, Cocaine is fairly expensive. Things like Marijuana and "Shrooms" are cheaper.
Vehicles, obviously the sports cars and luxury vehicles should range from $1,000,000 to $200,000. Other vehicles are in the $100,000-$10,000 Price range. Most pre-loved cars are no more than $5000, though obviously depending on the car.
Houses range from crap ones at $100,000 and get better, up to the Millions, which are generally mansion-like.

These are typical prices IRL where I live. Just be sensible. Don't let people earn more than a couple million dollars ingame in a year, that is from jobs and stuff. Obviously they could easily just become rich by selling property and weapons etc.

Year?

The server won't probably make it online for a year, and I don't think a player is that dedicated to play for a full year.

I think you should talk HOURLY rates, as most servers have an hourly payday system.. so.

To divide your 1 million into hourly rates:

2739.72$ per day (lol)

Which is around 200$ a paycheck.

I'd make paychecks about $500 - 1000 each, depending on your economy.

As for cars, the last server I worked with had an idea of making a scrap place with cars (beat up) starting at like $200, and they had speed limits (scripted customly) so they couldn't go above, per se, 40MP/H.

^ He also had dealerships for wealthy people, obviously.

I hope I was of assistance

I meant in a real context, not a length-of-his-server's-existence type of thing, but yeah, you're probably right. It's what most of the big servers do and it works well for them, it seems.

Realistic prices, easy, go research them for the country you are basing you server on then set them to that, don't go to high and do not go to low, people will want good money, so don't make jobs 50 dollars an hour if your gonna make house like 1mill, be smart, don't just set random prices, i however can not give you good realistic prices but the internet can, have a look on ******. Good luck
