so yesterday i went into the Sa-Mp Editor and added some lights (That work) An electric gate and some turrets (that dont work), so what im asking is: do i have to do some sort of code to get the Electric gate / Turrets to shoot down planes?

Yes, you have to come up with code to shoot down items. Turrents won't work without it. Look around and you may be able to find some, doing some yourself would be pretty complicated.
