Cant log into servers
#1

Ive been having problems logging into SA-MP for 2 days now, I can get into any server. I get into the loading screen, and into the connecting screen where it says:
"Connecting to (whatever the ip of the server is)...
The server didn't respond. Retrying..."
It will coninue to try and reconnect and continue giving me the error message. Its really frustrating me and I'll be really thankfull if someone know why this is happening and how i can fix it.
I HAVE:
-Deleted my gta_set file (although i don't know how it would help)
-Completley deleted my Grand theft auto san andreas folder from my steam and re-installed it numerous times.
-Completley uninstalled SA-MP
-Allowed SA-MP and GTA through my firewall
-Attempted to join a number of different servers all in different countries and a few in my own

The Steam version is not currently supported, as stated very clearly on the download page.

mm Sounds like a Firewall problem? or maybe your firewall in the Router is blocking connection!

1) Did you check if your client version is not supported to the server version?

For example, you have 0.3D and this server has 0.3E. You get 0.3E R2 Client version to play it

2) As far as i know, Steam won't be supporting SA-MP, since Steam itself does the multi-player stuff

You need a version 1.0 exe of GTA (****** is your help, tip keyword: no-cd), and add it to the steamapps/common/grand theft auto san andreas folder.

Conveniently, 1.0 exe is gta_sa.exe and steam version is gta-sa.exe, so there's no need to overwrite and singleplayer will still work through steam.

Also, as Vinnie mentioned, make sure your client version matches the server that you're trying to connect to.
