Why is everyone attacking that guy for sharing his experiences with Colorhost?

Sure he's a retard, and he doesn't know what he's talking about... but no one likes a bunch of kiss asses.

I'll tell you this right now, and you can take it or leave it... I was brought to colorhost by one of my little brothers friends. He gets paid to advertise for them. He's 13.

The customer service is 18+, but they do in fact let kids work for them.

Also, the main reason to take down a website/server if you're being DDOS'd is because it runs your bandwidth up to an outrageous amount. Your ISP will bitch like hell. You can be fined or even lose your service.

Now, here's my experience with Colorhost personally.
VERY friendly staff. Exceptional customer service.
However, the advertised mysql service only allows you to have one database, and you have to submit a support ticket to get it enabled. Wtf guise?

Haven't gotten any downtime so far.

When I first got my script it was buggy, lots of things would crash the server.
I'm fully responsible for that, however, the server doesn't auto-restart.

Restoring the default .cfg file doesn't work. Don't know why that have that option in the panel.

I personally didn't attack him, imo. I told him where he was wrong, AND where ColorHost went wrong. People appeared to find my explanation legit. Then something happens like 'hopping on the bandwagon'. People agree with something, post the same stuff again, in other words (read: more rude words).

Yet again, the MySQL is likely mentioned somewhere in one of the terms you're obliged to read before using their service. That is your responsibility - and if you dislike doing it, nobody will stop you from going to another host.

Being brought to a host by someone else is a common thing between hosts. Users get a certain discount for every user they bring to their own host. That's not being employed, imo. They are free to do so - or NOT to.

The end of your thread: that's something you should discuss using their support.

The kid I was talking about wasn't a customer of theirs. He used volthost.

But he advertised for Kevin and got paid irl dollars.

As for my responsibility, yeah... I agree. But it's an inconvenience. Could just have it listed on the front page. Or, more importantly, the checkout page.
