Hosted Server Port
#1

well, my hosting company doesn't allow me to change the port. I mean, I change it on the "server.cfg" but when I start the server, the "server.cfg" changes automatically to the company default port.
so, is there any way to change the port? I mean, my port now is 38940 and I want it to be 7777. is there any way to do it? maybe to change something in the game mode, or something else.
(I know you can change the server name through the gamemode and etc without touching the server.cfg)

What is the hoster's name? Kingj, serverFFS, etc?

Contact your host about this matter.

well, nevermind what the name is. it's a local hoster. nevermind. my question is if there is any way to change the port without editing the server.cfg and without contacting the host.

Nope.

What host do you use? You most likely need to edit your config from a resource they give you and not direct from
the file.

Hosting companies have scheduled checks on each server. If your server is operating on a different port that you were given, it will stop the server and/or set the port back.

Doing something else to make it change port will probably go against the host's terms of service, and they will suspend your server (possibly terminate it).

Contact them, don't dig a massive hole.
