Is anyone else experiencing problems in accessing the KINGJ billing area?

https://billing.game.kingj.net/

For me, it says 403 Forbidden. Not sure if for some reason my IP got blocked or it's a problem in their site.

He uses WHMCS and WHMCS was breached last night. Find an alternate method of contacting him.

Oh right, thanks for that.

I honestly don't think KingJ's client data is stored on WHMCS servers. I'm getting the 403 as well, though. I'll check on ******* now.

They sent out an email:

Quote:

Due to a compromise at the supplier of our Billing Control Panel we have taken our Billing Control Panel offline as a precautionary measure.

There is no information that suggests that the software is at fault or at risk because of this and the information you have supplied us with is safe. We have taken our Billing Control Panel offline as a precautionary measure only and hope to bring it online again shortly.

If you require urgent support in the mean time or have any questions, please email us at game@kingj.net and include your Game Control Panel username and server information.

Again, our Billing Control Panel has not been compromised. We have taken the Billing Control Panel offline as a precautionary measure only due to a compromise at the supplier of the Billing Control Panel.

@Jack_Leslie, It's not a problem. With the recent WHMCS hacking etc, KingJ thought it would be best to disable the client area just to be safe. Although clients of WHMCS aren't affected, just the WHMCS files on their server, credit cards etc.

@Vince, Correct, KingJ's data isn't stored on WHMCS servers, nor is KingJ's website or clients at any threat. This was purely for precautionary measures.

Just summing this up before rumours start.

Your data is safe, some providers i know have taken measures to ensure that nothing will happen.

But as long as the provider who uses WHMCS has updated passwords on there system, it should be fine.

We disabled access to our Billing Control Panel, which is powered by WHMCS, as a temporary precautionary measure due to the compromise that WHMCS themselves suffered yesterday.

Thankfully the cause of the compromise was not due to the panel itself but a social engineering attack on WHMCS's host which still leaves some unanswered questions but does mean that it is safe for us to put our Billing Control Panel back online again.

You should be able to access the Billing Control Panel again now, i'm about to send out another email to all of our customers informing them that it's available again. I've changed any system-related password too.

Just to be absolutely clear, the supplier of our Billing Control Panel software, WHMCS, had their systems compromised. We took our Billing Control Panel offline as a precaution just in case the compromise was due to a fault in their software. However, the cause of the compromise was a social engineering attack on their host rather than a fault with their software. All of our customer data has remained untouched, the only data that has been compromised is data about WHMCS's customers, i.e hosting providers such as myself.

It's been a fun day I can assure you! Apologies if you were unable to order earlier.

Good of you to take those precautions. Thanks KingJ.
