GTA Problem
#1

Right, this isn't regarding the instillation of SAMP, this is a problem when trying to launch GTA. I've installed it properly, installed it in Program files, even though it doesn't need a specific directory, anyway I've tried running as Administrator, installed DirectX bla bla bla and It still fails to launch, the disk will pop up but then it just closes!

This is really frustrating as this has never ever happened before and I've been playing for years!

I've tried googling and nothing has seemed to help me! I hope that out of anyone on these SAMP forums, someone has encountered this problem themselves and has found out how to fix it, please please try and post as soon as possible, thank you to anyone in advance.

Delete your gta_sa.set file in GTA San Andreas User Files. That might solve the problem.

Otherwise: does single player work?

Rename your GTA folder.

I don't have that file in my documents, that's also another thing that confuses me, and I'll try and rename it.

That's what I'm talking about, my single player doesn't work, thus nothing else works and I don't even have that file in my computer that's what's fucking confusing me! Also, I renamed the folder and it still doesn't work. Please don't tell me to re-install it, because I've re-installed GTA more today than I have in 5 years.

Have you tried removing ALL traces of the GTA installation, like not just the GTA in the Rockstar folder but all the folders and files in the Documents directory as well?

If the file doesn't exist, you perhaps installed it without audio?

If Single Player works > gta_sa.set is likely bugged
If Single Player doesn't work but it creates gta_sa.set > something wrong with mods
If gta_sa.set doesn't get created > Likely no audio installed combined with...something.

Guys, I really appreciate ALL of your time but I don't 'quite' think you understand the problem, well you probably do but not quite, I install it normally, it's nothing to do with how I'm installing GTA, I've been installing GTA the same for the last 5 years or so and I've never had this problem, it's not like my computer can't run GTA because I've ran GTA on it before. One of the things I'm confused about is the fact gta_sa.set isn't located anywhere on my computer. I install GTA, double click on the GTA (on my desktop) and boom nothing works, the disk will load and then disappear. This applies to the gtasa.exe file in the directory(c:/program files/rockstar games\gta bla bla lba)

My question remains: did you install it without audio?
