I own a server which has been running for about 4 or 5 months now and there hasn't been any many players staying, I am providing updates and what not. Tell me, what am I doing wrong?

It's the fact that some players just go on the server and don't make an attempt to stay for a while. The server gets one or two players a day but the forum is basically dead.

You should make a video showing off server features or the gameplay of your server, if you haven't done that already.
Questions you need to ask yourself
-What do I offer the players?
-What are the features on my server?
-Do I have an active administration team?
-Do I have a community?
-If I were a random player, what reasons do I have to stay on the server?
-Why would someone join your server within the other thousands on the internet tab?
-What else can I offer the players to keep my Game Mode fun, but without giving too much away?
-Can I somehow implement a system where players get a bonus for playing a lot?
-Is there any way I can make my server more popular amongst the people of SAMP (advertising, ...)?
-Why would someone leave another community and join yours?
-Why would one prefer your server over another server with the same type of GM?
A server with good features, a friendly community and a tempting game mode which doesn't bore you after some hours should become popular, but that doesn't mean it will.
You should also attempt getting your server on the hosted tab, because, to be honest, I never look at the internet list.

What's the IP and i'l tell you what is wrong. You need to get players to stay, then more arrive. If they don't join the first time, you need a better name or something.

I tried your server, i was expecting more features to the part were i pilot the plane. Not as much as MS flight simulator ofc, but at least altitude meter and aurspeed. So i ended up flying the plane around all alone like single player. I crashed the plane, lost some cash and then i left.
