You don't need the Linux package.

When you add plugins to your server, if you are using a host that uses Linux, in server.cfg all you need to do on the plugins line is add .so after the name of the plugin.

Example: plugins streamer.so crashdetect.so sscanf.so

your gamemode does not need to be compiled for linux.
Just upload the files for the host and thats all.
If you're using plugins, on server.cfg, add for example, sscanf.so, and not sscaf.
On the plugins folder, upload the .so files , and not the .dl
