Hello,

I am creating an SAMP roleplay server based from Raven's Roleplay script (2.5b) however... I am looking for someone to work with me on this project to create the best roleplay server around.

Background on myself:

• I am a web developer. Languages I know include: PHP, Java (limited), HTML/CSS, ETC. This means I could manage the websites, and the server itself. The scripter does the SAMP script. Good team if you ask me!
• I own a successful webhosting company founded in 2009.
• I live in the UK (South west England).
• I was staff for MyBB (forum software) for over a year and have created many successful communities.

What you will need to do:

• Users will post suggestions and we will need to add them to raven's Roleplay script (basically forking it, but having it as a private script for us only). Basically script features.
• Assist in forum moderation.
• The other basic stuff.
• Because its based on Raven's Roleplay, the hardest work is done! Which is creating it from scratch. You just need to add features.

What you gain:
This isn't the type of job for someone who "wants to make money". This is a job which I am looking for someone who has a passion for roleplay, and a passion for SA/SAMP. You will gain no money, however what you will gain is the satisfaction of being a developer for one of the best roleplay servers around. The script that is used for this server, will not be released to the public. Over time I will learn more about how SAMP works and assist in scripting.

With YOU handing the scripting side and myself handling the server and website side, we will be a good team!

Another edit, nobody wants to become a scripter for a edited script, im just sayin'. :b

Its being smart. Whats the point in spending long hours on creating a custom script that does the exact same thing anyways? If someone has already done it then its best to use theirs then expand of it.

Most software and scripts are forked from another that is released under such licenses as the GPL. There is a reason the GPL and such exist you know im just sayin'.

Whats the point of taking a script, edit it, when you cant change the credits?
And whats the point of making a RP script, make a freeroam or something. If you really wanna use a RP script, then download it and use it as it is. No edits..

Because as more and more edits get made to it, it becomes almost nothing like its original. Why do you think many scripts and software is released as open source? Because it has potential.

I could ask "Whats the point in having these roleplay scripts anyway? There is already countless roleplay servers!" but the reason is because they have the potential to be different from the rest.

No no no... No one would love to ne a dev for a Raven RP nor I guess people would love to play on it (oh well lets not say who will.) Seriously try doing ur own...
