SA(-MP) 'lag'
#1

Hi folks,

I've just reinstalled SA(-MP) and my old problem returned with it. When I'm driving at certain places at the map my fps goes dramatically down (I usually have fps around 70 and it's stable). After the re-install at some places (always the same places) the fps goes down from 70 to like 30..

This is one of those places, I am not sure if it's good enough to see the lag cause I can't record with the fps I play with.

And when I create smoke with my tires (breaking/donuts) it also decreases my fps. Now I see ya'll grabbing to your shitty pc excuse, but that ain't the problem. Before I re-installed SA this was no problem, my fps stayed the same at those spots. This problem keeps returning after re-installing.. but I never figured out where it came from. The previous time it got fixed by itself somehow... just after a while all was good.. I dunno how or why.

I hope any of is able to help me out. And remember, I used to have 70fps like all around the GTA SA map. Also when I created smoke..
The problems also occurs in single player.
My video card is 9600M-GT (yes laptop).
SA-MP version.. 0.3c.

Thanks in advance,

I also have this problem.
For sure, isn't my computer.
GTS 450 2GB
Core 2 Duo
2GB RAM
500GB MEMORY

Well, again, isn't my computer (For example, I have the original GTA IV and I play it online with like 75 FPS, medium graphics and 1280x1080 of resolution (at the GTA SA aswell).

My problem is: when I'm at some interior my fps decreases for 30fps, 25.
Also when I'm swimming at the water (single player and SA-MP too) the character does it very low.

I've download the famous cheater for testing. Result: using the airbreak, when I get at the subworld (under the city) it gets lag too, the FPS decreases for 25, 20 FPS, as an interior.

My problem happens at singleplayer too.
My GTA SA isn't rip, it's full.
And I don't have any mod.

Note: sorry for my bad english.

Same problem here from ages. I think it's because of the map, maybe that parts are full of objects and lagg...

This is because of Anti Aliasing. Go to your graphics settings and set Anti Aliasing to off.

Well, I guess some of your graphical settings are now set differently than the way they were before. What you have to do is revert them back. I don't know what else could it be.

How about updating your graphics card drivers? Also, in your graphics card options, maybe Anti-Aliasing is set to on, while your game shows it to off? It looks like a possibility. Try setting those settings lower, too.

So you mean your complaining about going from 90fps to 30...dude my laptop is lucky to hit 50fps, 30fps is stable and playable dont complain.

Thanks for the advice, lucky I found a copy of my old GTA SA on my extern HDD. This one is exact from the same disk etcetera but it doesn't produce lag at those places. Very weird.

Anyway, I found out there was a file called 'GTASAsf1.b' in GTA San Andreas User Files. Maybe that does the trick? I don't know, I've never seen the file before and dunno where it comes from, does any of you know it?
