I know there are other topics like this, but i just wanted to ask.. If the sa-mp team just gave up and the samp site and forum were shut down, can the samp team actually shut down all samp servers? Or would all the hosting companies stay up...what i mean is do the samp team have control over the internet/hosted lists??

Yes they do. Actually I think Kalcor has all the privileges on the lists.
If SA-MP closes (which won't bee soon), you can still play it if you still have the client and have a server, but you need to give him the IP.

Hopefully they won't die, cause they're strong , and we all love sa-mp and we can't leave it go like that

Obviously the servers would stay up as there's quite some money in it for hosting companies.
Also, another one of these topics? When something happens, I think we'll notice it.
Edit: The post above me is why I hate these topics. People suddenly react like "OOH NOO NOIT DIE PLZ PLZ WOULD NOT LIKE THAT NOO" and stuff (Yes, it's exaggerated) without any cause at all.

A member of the SA-MP team dies and all you would care is your server staying online?

If SA:MP closes, there will be no sense in managing a server at all.

One should always read signatures.
