Hi!

before even considering buying a vps, i would just like to ask what is the bandwidth requirement for, let's say, 100 players?

My home server is currently a core2duo 2.0, 4gb ram, 640gb hard drive, running ubuntu 11.04 server edition on 15/5M line with static IP (server is also used for other things ofc). Is the line 'strong' enough to support at least 50 players? I haven't found any threads about the bandwidth usage of gta servers.

Any advice is aprreciated.

On a home server it may be able to but, I've not seen yet a home server that can host 50 players, regarding it cannot stay up 24/7. But I've ran one before with atleast 20 and it ran fine. So most likely yes you can.
