Hi all, i need yours advices.

i know how to script, and i want to create a GM, but i don't know what type server can be popular ant interesting?

can you advice?

1. A server have to be unique in any kind off way.
2. Do not use a GF edit.
3. A cool story line if you dont do roleplay or maybe zombie gamemode then you get the first time that you joined a short movie that your airplane crash in to the ground.
4. Make promotion movies / video's post everywhere your server ********, hyves, myspace everywhere because the more players you got the more players join.

Anything can be populair but it must be UNIQUE! And not copyed!

Roleplay GM's are very popular, but there are too many of them.
So if you decide to make one, be unique and don't make edits.

Hahha that's 100% true bro. Roksizzz if you think you are ready to make your own GM then do it if you cannot script and have to ask everything to the forum like. "How do i make a variable" then it's my opinion that you shoulden't start making your own server. You must be 100% sure what you do and how you are going to do it. SO THINK BEFORE YOU ACT!

Talking about "unique" things should be against the rules, nothing Is "unique" In sa-mp and most people don't even get the meaning of the word.

If you want to make something unique, ban players when they connect, give everyone admin and have a lously admin team, that's probably pretty unique.

If you want a populair server however you should make the things that usually makes a server populair, people like to play with features they are familiar with.

That's not true you can make unique things that do not excist in sa-mp like a starwars gamemode so you make some spacecrafts with some rockets and interiors and that you can fly them. The problem off sa-mp is is that when you create something cool others are going to copy your idea's and try to steal it.

Most GF servers that are runned by 11 year old kids already have that, so it won't be unique.

Lol? Using a GF doesn't make the server shitty.. suckish edits of a GF yes, but if you take time and script unique features inside of a GF, then it's perfectly fine. And that's shouldn't be a forum rule because it has nothing to do with forums.. and if your using a GF edit.. why should that be a ban.. I'm just gonna straight up tell you, you fail.

I personally am creating a GM based of the GF, like re-coding everything (Not just some systems like most people when they say they are re-writing or did re-write a GF.), from text to advanced systems.

To be honest, there are servers out there that are ran by 11 years old and they have a unique gamemode, just because your server is running off the GF doesn't mean your 11 years old or your server sucks. It's based on how the edit is, like if you re-write a GF and actually make everything RP'ish, not just something like RPG and call your server Heavy or Strict RP.

Don't hate on the GF.

I'm not judging EVERY 11 year old server owner or EVERY GF edit ...
It's all about the big group of these servers ... They just suck.
Just join a few servers with The Gotfather running, you'll see that 90 percent
of the servers are badly edited, or just not edited at all.
I agree that there's a (little) group 11 year old's (or owners with another age, 11 year old's are not the 'big' problem here) that CAN run a GF edit that's
heavily edited.

What about LS-RP, NG-RP, PR-RP? You might have opinions on them, but they sure got a lot of players.
