Social Networking Market Share (Eav)
#1

I'm going to introduce you all to a new(ish) social networking site called Empire Avenue. If you use ********, *******, *******, linkdin, or flickr often then this is perfect for you to look into.

The base idea of EAV(empire avenue) is to have a profile, and buy and sell stocks of people. People can go to your profile and purchase shares in you. Now here is where it gets fun. You connect your other social networking site to EAV, like ******** and *******, and the more you are active on those sites, the more your stock price will grow. So in conjunction with people buying your shares, and you being active on social networking sites; you can grow your share price and your dividends. Also remember, that this is NOT REAL MONEY. REAL MONEY IS NOT INVOLVED.

Now, I know what you are thinking... this is boring. Well for some people it is. This is NOT for everybody :P If it sounds boring, please do not troll and stop reading here, because i'm going to go further indepth about how it works.

That is my share price, and the amount of shareholders. Shareholders are the amount of people who have invested in me. When you begin, you start at $10.00 /share. So over the last month and a bit (with activity) i have gone up $17.31. The thing with EAV is that the share price is not always what a good investment entails.

A good investment brings back good returns. Dividends are the amount that you get back on your shares everyday. So if you purchase 100 shares in my and my dividends are 0.33cents a share at the end of the day you will get $33. Thats a pretty good return if you are not looking to buy big. When you buy you must look at the persons dividends, and do not jump on every share that is cheap or expensive.
I bought 200 BMW shares at $50/share. The dividend were 0.09cents /share. Less than my current dividends. Within two days, the prices on the shares had doubled to $110/share so I sold them, and made lots of profit. I then invested that money into Chris Pirillo (PIRILLO) who has the best returns, but his shares also cost the most. BMW is a perfect example of how a share can be REALLY inflated, but returns nothing at all.

Here is an example of a portfolio. Now if you look under all the social network ratings, you can see that his divs (dividends) are $2.68/share. Thats pretty damn good. Thats a person who you want to invest in. But first, build your wealth by buying cheaper shares that can return more in a short time.

You have to be active on EAV site as well. Since this is powered by social network activity, you have to be posting on ******** and/or tweeting (along with any other sites you connect). But you cant just spam, like on ******* they base it heavily on your mentions and replies to avoid spammers.

This is what your portfolio page looks like to you when you sign in.

BTW: I do not own/work for them. I just love this site, and well I want to spread the fun! Also I've said everything in dollars, which is wrong. The currency on the site is in 'eaves'. 1 eave is like 1 dollar but its not real money :P.

I am actually planning on working the stock market. Probably this summer when I get a bit of a cash-flow.

With this virtual currency, you invest in more people and they have these 'luxury' items. For example one luxury item is 500,000 eaves. You buy it, and it will show up on your profile, it will also boost your share price and make you money everyday.

I also forgot to talk about the communities. The communities are amazing there, you meet so many people and you can learn so much. I am personally in a photography community and they have given my great advice for when I bought my dslr. There are so many of them and its also a great way of putting yourself out there for people to invest in you

Yes, you can invest in bad shares, and potentially loose all your money (Eaves). The point of it is to be as similar as possible to real life.
