just to say before you read further.. im not using mta map editor to make map, so dont say convert it to samp code..
i have 3 types of files that contain the map
custommap.IDE
custommap.img
custommap.IPL
is it possible to use this map in samp! please help me i really want to know! thank you very much

i put them in that folder and backed up the old files, but when i go in game it doesn't load, any ideas?
EDIT: i downloaded winimage and tried to open the custom.img file but it didn't want to open
Error: Error reading file E:\Games\Grand Theft Auto San Andreas\SAMP\custom.img

IMGTool works best for this situtation. custom has to be in capitals i think, for me thats how its setup

okay with imgtool i was able to open the .img file, but now what do i do when i have opened it.. it had 12 files..
map.col, map.txd, map1.dff, map2.dff, map3.dff, map4.dff, map5.dff, lodmap1.dff, lodmap2.dff, lodmap3.dff, lodmap4.dff, lodmap5.dff
what do i do with these?

drag them inside CUSTOM.IMG

err... im not sure what you mean, drag them in how?.. i got the files from the custom.img

Open the custom.img
Click commands > Add > Select files > Press OK!
Then just save it...
Custom.img has to be in capitals

okay.. im still stuck
what i've done so far is..
1) taken the 3 files and put them in ...GTA\SAMP\
2) opened the .img file with imgtool
3) commands -> rebuild archive
4) --- i dont know what to do
someone please help...

So yer, import it inside, then rebuild it. Wait for it to finish then try find some button that says Close, not the X button or the alt+f4 button. Its one of those tabs.
