Is there any possibility, making a server of a external hard drive?
I'v searched on ****** but all of the thread are from 2004 2003... and no responses

A server needs a CPU, memory and hard disk space.
So: An external hard disk alone will not suffice. Putting the files on it can work.

Uhh.. You cant just put the files onto the external HDD and then leave it sitting on your shelf no. It needs to be plugged into your PC and the file running.

"resume" no. You need to restart your server (if it was to continue to run) because the files cannot be accessed if you unplug your disk.

ohlol, iv readed that a server is like if you plugin a screen in to a server it will appear the os.. so like if i just leave the hdd running on a old compaq presario, it will run basicly, because the hdd had 500gb and the old pc has like ur gunna laugh so hard, 250mb ram and processor i dunno, pentium sumthin... from 2000 xD has windows me on it, i putted xubuntu on it, wouldnt quite run it, now i bought a 16gb pen, putted puppy linux on it now im going to run it on that, problem is im not quite sure how to run the server on his kernel...
