[HP]

As I recently got rid of my Windows 7, because I only used it for gaming or for game server test purposes, I now only have Ubuntu 10.10. I decided to give it a try and install GTA:SA & SA:MP with my Wine Software. After a lot of messing with getting the textures to work on my motherboard built in Intel Graphics card, I finally managed to do it. GTA:SA itself works greate, but I get a strange error with SA:MP. I can even connect to the server and see how the anims filterscript is loaded and THEN it will crash. Just about when I need to login in using the dialogs.

Any suggestions, please?

I just downloaded the newest Wine beta version and it kind of works now. I played for around 5 mintues and then got a "Warning(s007): Exception 0xC0000005 at 0x74DA75" twice. I went back in, drive a bit around and 5 minutes later at the same place, where I crashed before I got the following Crash code:

I use Wine 1.3.18 beta and what I did was remove all gta san andreas and samp files, install again and immediately afterwards connect to a server (the resolution was 800x600) and it work. Later a changed the resolution and the game didn't crash any more. I use ubuntu 10.10. Remember use winetricks for install .dll and fonts for samp and other games (if you don't know how to use i will help you)

I managed to get it work fine by now, but it still keeps crashing sometimes. Every time I launch GTA:SA or SA:MP and change the resolution, it automatically changes the Ubuntu's resolution too. To prevent this from happening I'm using virtual desktop emulation.

Always crash in the same place?? in different servers??Could be the server. I use the native resolution and works fine, without virtual desktop.

Certainly, i have problems with EAX sound. You donґt have problems with it??

SAMP.exe a windows client isnt supported by Unbuntu....
But you can use the server package in it. I did run GTA SA once in Ubuntu, tried to load a saved file, and BOOM
