Problem's installing mods?
#1

Hey guys, Im sorry if this isn't the right place to post. But I didnt think it'd fit in the client help section as its not an issue with SAMP.

Problem is this, my friend has Windows 7 64bit. I gave him Alci's img editor and a few mods. The first time we tried to install, we couldn't because every time we did we'd click "import (remove if exists) and before it'd complete it'd say "Couldn't delete the img file." We were stumped. The next day I thought of an idea. I knew with newer OS' usually to fix this sort of thing, you could "Run as administrator". So we did. And it worked, or so we thought. It actually completed through the importing and the rebuilding of the img file. Great, the problem is in game, nothing has changed. Now I know its not the mods or anything because I've used them myself. I think its his computer on Win7 cause I run XP and its fine but I know newer OS' have had problems running older games. So does anyone know a fix or what we should do?

Why don't you use a different IMG editor?

Remember to remove the Read Only flags from the GTA SA folder.

Sorry for this late reply but not all mods depend on jsut img files some mods need editing Handling.cfg or any other files in DATA folder make sure you read all instructions in the Readme File.

Yes. If your mods are maps, then find the .ide and .ipl files(Note that the IDs of the new objects must not be the same as the 0.3c one).
If they isn't, make sure you removed the files that you replace instead of renaming(and back them up).
