Dini alternative
#1

Hi,

I've been using Dini for a very long time but never tested it extensively.
Which means I recently found an anoying 'bug' (if I may) when the server is restarted and Dini was still reading/writing...; 'a .ini.part file remains and the .ini file is empty'.

Sooo.... is there a perfect solution to this?? (reading the .part file? or just start writing again and it'll fix itself??...)

OR should I be using a better file writing include (Y_ini,....)? And if YES please DO suggest WICH one!

Greetings

Y_ini is simpler, and easier.
Nevertheless, it's also faster, it opens .INI's once, while D_INI opens the INI over and over for every variable loaded.

Only for maramizo's post: I thank you for this simple, clear and very useful answer.

PS: now I'm facing a total script conversion

well you could investigate yourself which ini system works best for you, I wrote one and the link is in my sig, I haven't tested it out against all other systems but it was the fastest write speed of the ones that I did test.
